What is a developmental disability?
Developmental disabilities include a diverse group of severe chronic conditions due to mental and/or physical impairments. These individuals may face serious challenges with language, mobility, learning, and independent living. Developmental disabilities can develop as late as 22-years of age, and usually last through a person’s lifetime.
