What's for Dinner? Online Cooking Academy!
What’s for Dinner? is the new Online Cooking Academy at Community Support Services.
“What’s for Dinner?” is intended to foster cooking skills for those with disabilities
The menus have been specifically chosen as appropriate for those with little background in cooking and recipes have been adapted so as to be very user friendly for individuals with a wide array of learning styles.
All the recipes have been done in a pictorial format so that those with limited or minimal ability to read can follow the instruction. For auditory learners the recipes have also been provided in a video format. The video version of the recipe follows the pictorial version but generally adds more detail and instruction.
One of the primary goals of “What’s for Dinner?” is to encourage participation by all in cooking and to improve cooking skills. The program has the added benefit of providing a convenient and easy meal for your residents one night a week.
We hope you find it tasty as well.
This is an exciting new project for CSS and we can’t wait to see how it develops!
